Purchase book for $24.95 (postage included for all US orders) The Psychology of Astro*Carto*Graphy
By Jim Lewis with Kenneth Irving, Words and Things Press.

Astro*Carto*Graphy®, developed by the late Jim Lewis, revolutionized astrology by transforming the ancient horoscope wheel into a world map that shows at a glance where a person can find love, money, vitality, or even jump-start a fading career - simply by moving to a new location. The Psychology of Astro*Carto*Graphy, based on Lewis' writings, notes, and lectures, with additional material by Kenneth Irving, has long been hailed as the definitive work on the subject, and this new edition revises and extends the information found in the original. Detailed explanations of the changes each planet can bring to a particular location help the reader to apply Astro*Carto*Graphy's insights to his or her own life. The book also includes useful notes, an index, historical and technical notes on Astro*Carto*Graphy, a resource section for further study, and afterwords on Jim Lewis, the man and the teacher, and the continuing charitable work that stems from his legacy.

Sunday March 15, 2015. 12-1:30 PM. EDT. Eclipse Webinar.$35. If you cannot make it, you will get the handouts, audio visual recording, and audio mp3. These two eclipses, which occur on March 20 (New Moon Solar eclipse) and April 4 (Full Moon Lunar Eclipse), see below for dates and times and degrees, are very intense and will have an impact in the world, and in your charts, especially if they hit a natal planet or point. As usual this will apply to both Western tropical, and Indian sidereal charts. This will be more detailed about the two eclipses than the Sensitive Degrees Webinar, since the entire class will only be spent on these eclipses. As noted in my last newsletter (scroll below if you missed it), Mars and then Venus will transit the March 20 eclipse point this week, linking the events of this week to the March 20 eclipse, and the eclipse will take place just after the Saturn retrograde station of March 15 (yes the day of this workshop), which oftentimes bodes for something big happening in the world. In recent years events such as the sinking of the Korean Ferry last year, the typhoon in the Philippines in November 2013, and the Haiti earthquake, all occurred when eclipses occurred a few days within a retrograde planetary station. Noticeable is also the fact that the eclipse occurs on the spring equinox, but does that really have anything to do with the nature or symbolism of this eclipse? The April 4 eclipse has a direct connection to the eclipse on October 8, which occurred around the same degree, as well as the final hit of the Uranus-Pluto square. (Because most modern Indian astrologers use the outer planets, and because the applying square (or four signs) from Pluto to Uranus is a 75 percent aspect, and the aspect from Uranus to Pluto (ten signs) is a 25 percent aspect, this signature is applicable to both tropical and sidereal charts. So this will be important as well. We will look at when these eclipses are activated, both prior to the eclipse as well as after, since eclipses do not occur in a vaccum. We will look at the chart of each eclipse, and also the Metonic and Saros cylce relationship. We will look at what each eclipse will create for different ascendants. See the precise dates and times below and then be sure to sign up. Total Solar Eclipse. March 20, 2015 9:36 AM GMT. Tropical 29°∆ Pisces 27'. Sidereal. 05°∆Pi28' Uttraphadrapada. Total Lunar Eclipse. April 4, 2015. 12:05 GMT. Tropical. 14°∆ Libra 24'. Sidereal. 20°∆ Virgo 25' Hasta. The cost of the webinar is $35 which comes with handouts, audio recording, and audio-visual recording. You can attend or get recordings afer webinar. Sign-in information will be sent after payment is received. Registration closes at midnight on March 14.

Sunday March 29, 2015. 10:00-5:00 pm. Fundamentals of Jyotisa (Vedic Astrology) Workshop. Part 6. Nakshatras and Tithis. Upper West Side in New York City/simultaneous webinar. (You can also attend as webinar, or order the audio/visual recording plus handouts.) This workshop will go into detail about the Nakshatras (lunar mansions) and Tithis (lunar days). Since these were the early time divisions on the first calendars in India, this workshop will be jam packed with everything, beginning with history and working towards practical usage of the Nakshatras. In accordance with my Master's degree, we will talk about Nakshatras for women as well, and how they differ in classic texts from Nakshatras for men. We will do over symbolism, Sanskrit names, and how they work in the natal chart and in electional astrology. We will do the same for the 30 Tithis (14 waxing, 14 waning, New Moon and Full Moon). Below are key points about the workshop. This is an exciting topic since these calculations are truly Indian in origin and usage. In this workshop we will go over the following. Introduction to the history and usage of Nakshatras and Tithis. Division of tithis, and the meaning of each lunar day for electional astrology and natal charts. Division of nakshatras, and meaning and symbolism of their names. Meaning of each nakshatra for electional astrology and natal charts. Nakshatras for women and men and modern relevance. Wrap up and examples. This is a very information filled day and a workshop not to be missed. Early bird registration for $75 will be in effect until March 15th, and after that it will be $90. This workshop is 6th in the series of Jyotisa Fundamentals. You can join this if you have not done previous workshops, but a basic level of Jyotisa, including basic yogas, Vimshottari Dasa, and Navamsha is needed.

After March 15, fee is $90.

We will start with the basics of the chart, so that you have all the tools you need to begin to tackle chart interpretation. Saturday April 19, 2014. 12-1:30 PM. EDT. Eclipse Webinar.$25. This talk will focus on the next two eclipses of 2014.

April 15, 2014. Total Lunar Eclipse. 3:42 AM EDT. Tropical. 25 Libra 15'. Sidereal. 1 Libra 18'. Citra Naksatra.

April 29, 2014. Solar Annular Eclipse. 2:14 AM EDT Tropical. 8 Taurus 51'. Sidereal. 14 Aries 54' Bharani Naksatra.

We will take an in-depth look at these two upcoming eclipses plus its relation to the Grand Cross, which occurs the week of April 21, done for both Western and Indian astrology audiences. Remember that the grand cross, which simply means two oppositions squared to one another, also applies to the Indian chart, since oppositions are simply full aspects, and squares are 75% aspects. In this case Mars is involved, which also forms a full aspect when applying four and eight places from itself. We will look at what it might say for your different ascendants, and what it could mean for different countries. We will also look at when these eclipses are activated both prior to (already occurred) or in the future so that we will realize that eclipses do not occur in a background, and their effects are felt for different lengths of time. We will also look at their relationship to Metonic and Saros cycles, as well as listen to your own stories about the eclipse. The cost of the webinar is $25. Purchase audio-visual recording and 55 page handout below.

Saturday May 17, 2014. 12-1:30 PM. EDT. Mars Goes Direct Webinar.$25. This talk will focus on what to expect when Mars goes direct on May 19-20 (depending on your time zone). Mars is a unique planet with a unique retrograde cycle. Every 2 years and 2 months Mars retrogrades for 70 days. It will retrograde either in one sign, or in two signs, but it means that wherever Mars is stay in that area of the zodiac for more than seven months. This year, Mars stationed retrograde on March 1, and will station direct on May 19-May 20. Wherever Tropical Libra and Sidereal (Jyotisa) Virgo/Libra is in your chart, will have had the influence of Mars for not simply the time it is retrograde but since last fall, and will continue into the summer as it finally goes direct and speeds up. Find out all about this cycle, what it has meant for you and the world, and what it will mean. You can order recordings and handouts below.
