$24.95 (postage included for all US orders) The Psychology of Astro*Carto*Graphy
Astro*Carto*Graphy®, developed by the late Jim Lewis, revolutionized astrology by transforming the ancient horoscope wheel into a world map that shows at a glance where a person can find love, money, vitality, or even jump-start a fading career - simply by moving to a new location. The Psychology of Astro*Carto*Graphy, based on Lewis' writings, notes, and lectures, with additional material by Kenneth Irving, has long been hailed as the definitive work on the subject, and this new edition revises and extends the information found in the original. Detailed explanations of the changes each planet can bring to a particular location help the reader to apply Astro*Carto*Graphy's insights to his or her own life. The book also includes useful notes, an index, historical and technical notes on Astro*Carto*Graphy, a resource section for further study, and afterwords on Jim Lewis, the man and the teacher, and the continuing charitable work that stems from his legacy.

Sunday January 10, 2016. 12-2:30 PM. EST. 2016 Sensitive Degrees Webinar. Stations, Eclipses, Ingresses, and Aspects (For Tropical and Sidereal (Vedic) astrology) You can order the 2 1/2 hour webinar plus handouts. $35. Registration ends Saturday January 9. After that you will receive handots and recordings, but may not be able to attend live. This year's webinar 2016 Sensitive Degrees: Stations, Eclipses, Ingresses, and Aspects will be packed with information about 2016. As usual, this Webinar will cover many of the degree areas of the chart that will affect you and the world including eclipses, retrograde and direct stations and cycles, ingress dates, and aspects. We will go through all of these providing you with charts that you can use the entire year. We will also focus on future repercussions from the events of this month. For those of you who attended some of my webinars and classes this past year, as well as the Saturday evening panel at Arsha Vidya in June, you may remember that I talked about an economic crisis in July, and an international incident or natural phenomenon in November. This was due to the Mars-Rahu conjunction hitting the eclipse points of March 20 and September 28. More dates to look out for will be included.
Topics and highlights of the coming year include
Eclipses. Five eclipses on March 9, March 23, August 18, September 1, September 16 (GMT).
Stations. Mars retrograde from April 17-June 29 (in addition to annual retrograde cycles of Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto).
Ingresses. As is always the case with Mars Retrograde, it moves retrograde every two years and two months for a period of 72-73 days. That means, as is always the case, Mars slows up so that it transits only two signs in nine months, making that section of the zodiac more potent especially for individuals for nine months. Those are Tropical Mars. Mars enters tropical Scorpio on January 3. Mars enters tropical Sagittarius on March 5, 2016. Mars retrograde enters Scorpio on May 27, 2016. Mars direct enters Sagittarius from August 2-September 27. Sidereal Mars. Mars enters sidereal Libra on December 23. Mars enters sidereal Scorpio on February 20, 2016. Mars retrograde enters sidereal Libra on June 18, 2016. Mars direct enters sidereal Scorpio from July 11-September 17.
Jupiter's entrance into tropical Libra and sidereal Virgo.
Rahu-Ketu enter sidereal Leo-Aquarius on January 9.
Aspects. Jupiter conjoins North Node-Rahu on January 23 when it is retrograde, and June 20 when it is direct. The second and third passing of the Saturn Neptune Square on June 17 and September 10 As well as Mars conjoining Saturn on August 24, Neptune conjoining South Node-Ketu on November 17, and Mars conjoining South Node-Ketu on December 26th and many more....
Saturday May 14, 2016. 12:00 Noon EDT/9:00 am PDT.Free Webinar. Mars-Saturn in Scorpio. In this webinar, we will focus on the current placement of Mars and Saturn in Scorpio and what it means for each of the 12 Ascendants. Mars will be in Scorpio from February 20-June 18, and then again from July 11-September 17, 2016, culminating in its exact conjunction on August 24, 2016. Will the conjunction between these two malefics wreak havoc, or transform your life forever? Tune into this exciting webinar and find out. Sign up at:ACVA Webinar.
Tuesday May 17, 2016. 7:30-9:00 PM EDT. Mars Retrograde Webinar.A little late perhaps but still very relevant. This workshop will take place on the day of Mars, Tuesday May 17 at 7:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time. Like all my webinars if you cannot attend live you will receive the handouts, audio-visual webinar, and audio recording the next day along with everyone who attended live. And as usual this will be done from the point of view of Tropical and Sidereal. Remember that even though Mars retrogrades from April 17-June 29, the retrograde arc or shadow extends from February 17, 2016 (when Mars crosses the point where Mars eventually goes direct) to August 22(when Mars crosses the point where Mars stationed retrograde) and includes the Sun-Mars opposition, which occurs on May 22. Mars-Saturn conjunction occurs on August 24 two days after Mars leaves the retrograde arc (also called the shadow). The workshop will have some material repeated from the Sensitive Degrees Webinar, but it will mostly contain new material. The following is what will be covered. . Astronomy of Mars retrograde and Mars cycles; . Overview of past Mars retrograde periods; . Overview of the retrograde arc, retrograde cycle, Sun-Mars opposition, and Mars-Saturn conjunction; . Mars straddles tropical Sagittarius/Scorpio and sidereal Scorpio/Libra. It straddles Vishakha and Anuradha; . Effects of Mars on world events, including but not limited to US election; . Effects of Mars in the upcoming months on each ascendant; . How to cope with the stress of Mars alongside other retrogrades; . Questions and Answers. Sign up at:Mars Retrograde Webinar.

Focus will be on current Mars Retrograde. Email Ronnie Dreyer me if you would like a reading in Hartford. Information:Astrological Society of Connecticut.

Sunday June 12. 12-2:30.EDT. Divisional (Varga) Charts in Two Parts. Part One. Sapta Vargas. One of the most important functions of certain varga charts is whether or not the planet is strengthened or weakened, and this is one of the factors that comprise the calculation of shad bala, or the six strengths of the planet. If the birth planet is in a kendra or trikona bhava of one of these charts, then it adds points to their strength in sat bala. If they are in other houses, they will not contribute to the planet's strength. In these next two webinars, we will focus on these, and try to look at these varga charts more traditionally ie. what Varahamihira says in Brihajjataka, as well as add other variations on how to use them. Some astrologers use six varga charts to calculate planetary strength, and some astrologers use seven. They are known as the sat (six) varga or sapta (seven) varga charts. These are rāśi (birth chart), hora (wealth), drekkana (siblings), which is the equivalent of the Western decanate chart, navā ṃ ś a (marriage and dharma), dvadasa ṃ ś a (parents), and trimsamsa (fortune and misfortune). Adding saptamsa (children) they become the sapta vargas. This workshop will explore the drekkana, dvadasamsa, trimsamsa and saptamsa with examples. We will especially look at the importance of the sarpa drekkanas, the 22nd drekkana and the 64th navamsa in terms of health.
Sunday July 10. 12-2:30.EDT. Part Two. Dasa Vargas and the Balance of Vargas. Adding dasamsa (career), shodasamsa (vehicles), and shastyamsa (strengths and weaknesses), they become the dasa (10) vargas. We will look at these (minus Navamsa which we already looked at). We will also look at other varga charts from classical texts which make up the shodasavargas (16 vargas), which include vimsamsa (spirituality), as well as the panchamsa (power), shastamsa (health), and ashtamsa (life and death), which are not one of the classical 16. Then we will look at my preliminary research on twins and how this relates to the vargas in ways you may not consider. This is important for practicing astrologers since in the era of in vitro fertilization, many multiples are being born. If you cannot attend, as usual you will get the audio/visual presentation, audio recording, and handouts and the opportunity to also email me questions in the same way that attendees will get these. Once you sign up for the two parts, I will send you the Navamsa workshop from last year, since it will be important to have that information. This workshop will be held in two parts in order to break it up and review the first part without moving on to the next. Early Bird Rates by May 25. Fee: Part One and Two. $75.
